GIRLS CAMP!

Well, it was amazing and way fun. Canoing, swimming, and of course bugs and rain! the whole big wonderful ... apple pie. The first full day it rained all afternoon, and we were stranded in our tent with waterdripping on us all over the place. We then proceeded to hang a rope around the tent that then proceeded to support one of my blankets. This blanket was hung over the lucky and lazy heads of the YCLs. Just kidding! They deserved it. Everthing smelt moldy and mildewy for a while, actually for the rest of camp, but we survived. Some peoples tent completly flooded and had to pack up and leave. We fortunatley only suffered a few leaks.
Sister Fetzer, of course, came to our rescue, even from the torturous leaks and threw a tarp over our huge, ten man tent while the rain poured outside. And of ourse while we roughed the rain inside the tent, she and Sister Nora Young the camp director, made the famous, most delicious cheesy potatoes for Bishop's Night.
Our bishop did not abandon us in the rain and did come to give us a good lesson about sprituality, and fire. It was actually rather intersting and has stuck with me so far so is definitley good and useful. We tried to make a fire I think we were successful, even with mostly wet wood. We then enjoyed some delicious Dutch Oven chocolate cherry yummyness cake with cool whip. mmm, mmm! The bishop and his wife did not stay to sleep on the rough wet ground but left for the luxury of a hotel. I'm sure mre then just Rosi were tempted to leave with them. But no we stayed.
Oh yeah! I almost forgot! The firsat night a group of leaders and girls from our ward made up the most amazing and way fun fire dance aroung the fire. Becki was the most amazing of all! How can we forget her! She contributed to the dance a most talented, wiggle bounce bow thing that is pretty indescribable. but what ever it was it was pretty cool.
The hikes, it rained for and I unfortunatley had to go with second year on there infamous 5 mile hike but it was ok i guess. My new friend, Eve from the Lake Michigan Ward, and I were kin of left behind by the general gruop a few hundred feet but it was fun.

Ok i have to go now, because church is looming up in the soon to be presetn future and i have to go get dressed and everything. I will reaturn soon to continu the recording of the epic adventure and dictate the hapenings of staying up til 5:30 am with a most hilarious Hannah Rackham and Rosi Rummler.

Well see ya!

We have a blog!

So, all you beautiful young women... I realized the other day how sad I am going to be when I leave because I won't be able to see all the fun things that you are doing together, and on your own. So this is what I came up with! This will be a way for all the girls and leaders, past, present and future to keep in touch. When you leave the YW program and head off to college, we will be able to see what is going on. When new leaders and new girls come in (as they always do)we will be able to share our excitment for all that is going on in our lives!

Here are a few pictures from our "Boot Camp New Beginnings"
